About Midwife Doula Liselotte

My name is Liselotte Hill, and from the time I was a little girl, I have always had a special fondness for babies, giving them all my love, care, and attention.

At the age of 7, I welcomed a little brother who felt like a “real life doll” to me. Under the close observation of my mum, I began to cultivate my so called “nursery skills.” When I turned 10, my neighbour shared the exciting news of expecting twins; I was overjoyed and eagerly anticipating their arrival. After they came home from the hospital, I spent countless delightful hours at their house, assisting wherever I could. A few years later, I took up babysitting for several families in my village.

It came as no surprise when I chose to pursue a career as a nurse and midwife. However, prior to that, I had some experience working in a creche, where I learned a lot about babies and their little quirks, which I absolutely loved.

I completed my Nursing and Midwifery studies in Belgium and obtained my qualification in 2000. Since then, I have worked in various areas of midwifery in both Belgium and Ireland, both in hospital and community settings.

Later on, I became a Baby Massage Instructor, and I have been teaching the beautiful practice of Baby Massage since becoming a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with Baby Massage Ireland in 2006.

In 2012, I also trained and earned my qualification as a Lactation Consultant IBCLC: International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

My first “Little Miracle” was born in 2007, followed by my “Little Miracle number two” in 2009 and “three” in 2012.

After navigating the challenging experience of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood both personally and professionally, I gained the confidence and experience to launch my own company, named... “Little Miracles”!

“Little Miracles” has been providing personalized, unhurried and holistic pre- and postnatal midwifery care and support to families living in the South-Dublin and Wicklow areas since 2009.

In 2024, I joined the remarkable team of Private Midwives Ireland to also offer a comprehensive range of holistic midwifery services, including homebirth options. Unfortunately Private Midwives ceased trading in August 2025, which sadly resulted in having to remove the option of home birth from my range of services.

In 2025 I completed a doula training so that I can provide non-clinical antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal support to families in my area.

Since my services encompass classes, support, and assistance throughout pregnancy and beyond, my goal is to be more than just a Midwife, Antenatal Teacher, Lactation Consultant, Doula or Baby Massage Instructor. I aim to be a “mother and baby coach,” the family along the sometimes challenging, tiring, and confusing, yet incredibly rewarding, journey of parenting.
